The traditional black and white darkroom techniques covered in our Into the Dark foundation courses are further expanded upon in this absorbing four week advanced class.

We will take a look at the methods and processes of some of the masters of monochrome photography and explore some of their most creative darkroom techniques ourselves.

Large format printing and a range of special treatments, effects and toning combinations will all be covered, with the emphasis on fostering a creative, individual approach to produce memorable, artistic results.

Students need to bring their own non-digital film camera and film.

All darkroom materials, chemicals, paper and equipment will be provided.
