The program of classes at The School of Light continues this summer with the addition of One Day Workshops.

Light Painting
Join an acknowledged master of the technique, Andrew Hall for a weekend workshop sharing some of his secrets and having fun with this easy to learn and highly creative branch of photography.

Street Photography
Take a walk through the heart of downtown Los Angeles, on an inspirational visual journey, appreciating and recording this city’s vibrant and resurgent soul.

Dark Matters

In the black and white photography program at The School of Light students are immersed in an intensive study of some of photography’s masters of the art, from Cartier-Bresson to Sally Mann.

Using their own beautiful film cameras ranging from an unusual 35mm SLR LeicacR7 through to a Mamiya RZ 6×7 medium format system, students process and print negatives shot on assignment.

Students apply themselves to the craft of creating black and white images; stepping through the methods of developing and collating their films; producing contact prints and editing their selections for exhibition quality prints.
